Hi there! I am new to this board but have posted once. I have lurked like crazy. I currently have a 14 year old daughter from my first marriage and a 2 1/2 year old daughter from my currrent hubby. We are planning to start TTC next month in hopes to generate a May 2012 birthdate. I used just mommies and fertility friend charting with our last baby and got pregnant right away on the first try. Hopefully *fingers crossed* we will have it that easy this time as well.

My question to all of the veterans on the board is how different are your OB checkups / tests when you at or over the 35 mark?
Also I have some issues already , gastric bypass patient, have suffered from anemia and our 2/12 year old had placenta previa. Now add age to the mix am I going to be a lab rat at the doctor?

Lol! Hi! I'm sort of new to this board, too! It's not very busy here, as you may have noticed! I hope it works out for you and you get pregnant right away! This is my first and I'm 39 with no complications, so I can't really answer your question, but wanted to say welcome and good luck!

Hi and Welcome!! I am 42 and my boys are 20, 19 and 16 years old. So far besides the Amino (which I chose to have) my health care has been the same as it was 20 years ago. My doctors say I am healthy, in great shape and the baby is doing wonderfully. So far I am being treated like I was when I was younger.

Is there an obgyn you can call and ask what the difference would be? There is also a TTC Older members board here on JM that is great as well. Trying to Conceive Older Members - JustMommies Message Boards

Good Luck, I hope you get pregnant right away!
