Because of our age, what extra testing have you, will you or might you get done? Is there anyone who will NOT be getting extra tests?

I have three kids 9, 7, and 5 with a few miscarriages along the way. I never had many tests done in the past, just basic things. Now this time I will be 37 at the time of delivery and I am starting to think I might need to worry a bit.

I had an amnio, it was really fast and easy and bought me a lot of inner peace.

I have just done the NT scan and the blood screen that goes along with it. If either time they had shown any markers or increased risk I would have opted for the amnio. But both times my risks dramatically decreased after the tests.

With my first three pregnancies I had the NT test done and then any and all other tests bar the Amnio.

With pregnancy #4 (technically #5) I had a CVS test done at 11wks & 3 days.

I am 37. Our baby is due on my 38th birthday We are not having any testing done. We have discussed it and just don't see any reason for the testing.
We would never terminate and we will have many, many ultrasounds (because of my age) so, we decided against testing.

We are not having any extra testing done. It wouldn't change anything and would just make me worry!

I'm 41, and I, too, have elected not to have any extra testing done. For the same reasons I would never terminate, so why worry and stress over it?

No extra testing for me either. I was 36 when my 1st was born & 40 for my 2nd.

I changed my mind and we had the NT scan with blood test. All looks good! My risk is that of a 15 year old. I feel great now too! No more MS!!
