hi I am new here...
i am 37 now and i have 4 kids. i think we are almost ready to try for another baby, but i recently had a chemical pregnancy (test was positive a few days after i missed my period, but then i got my period after a few more days).
i'm sort of afraid of trying to get pregnant now. are chemical pregnancies super common over age 35? does anyone have any personal experience with this? thanks!
I've had one chemical pregnancy, and then got pregnant with my daughter a few cycles later.
Given that you have four kids, I would try not to worry too much. Your body knows how to carry a pregnancy to term. This isn't a sign of doom and gloom. Sometimes the egg and sperm just don't quite combine correctly. As we get older, the risks of chem pg and other miscarriages goes up. The road to a healthy pregnancy is sometimes a little harder for us older gals, but don't let this loss keep you from trying if you want a fifth.
