Hi everyone. I am a 37 year old mom of two, ages 8 and 10. I was surprised with a positive HPT on Friday. I went to the Dr. this morning to confirm and I am indeed preggo.
I have been pregnant 5 times and have had 2 kids, which leads me to my miscarriage history. The first was prior to my first child being born, so 11 years ago, the 2nd and 3rd were after my youngest, both in 2007. I am afraid to get my hopes up that I will be successful this time. I have my first u/s scheduled for 9/14 so I guess I will hold my breath until then. I did talk the Dr. into checking my HCG levels today and I go back on Weds. to check again, so I will at least know those results by the end of the week.
I'm looking forward to the support over the next couple of weeks!!!

Hi! I'm so glad you joined us. This board is slow, but I check it anyway because I love the support. I'm sorry for your history of miscarriages. But I'm sending you sticky vibes. Hope to see you around!

I understand the concern you are feeling. I have a history of miscarriage as well, and we had a chemical pregnancy 2.5 years ago. I am 7 weeks pregnant with #4 and it's all I can do not to freak out with worry. Every little symptom, or lack of, makes me worry if everything is alright. We have an ultrasound on Sept. 17, and my doctor said my initial labs were good, but she didn't order follow-ups. I'm with you. Just holding my breath til I see that heartbeat!

I'll be hoping everything goes well for you!

Thanks for the support ladies! I am waiting on my first hcg levels from yesterday and go back tomorrow for another draw to compare. I have my first u/s set for 9/14.

Hello! i am new to this groups as well. I turned 35 in July, and found out a week ago I was preggo. I tested at home, and it was positive. I am going to test again this weekend and schedule a doc appointment. It is my first pregnancy. All of the girls I either used to work with, or with currently have experienced miscarriages, so it stresses me out it will happen to me as well. :-(

Good luck Aneta.

I had a viability u/s today and there was a baby and a heartbeat!!!!! I can't tell you how happy I was to see this rather than an empty yolk sac like I have seen the last two times. I'm a little more relieved, letting myself get even a little excited, but still scared.
