Hi ladies,

I just got my BFP last night. I'm 37 y/o mom of 2...still a little shell-shocked and wondering what all it means to be/go through a pregnancy after 35. Any pointers, tips, info you'd like to share? Looking forward to getting to know you all.

I don't know if I have any pointers or tips as this is my first time doing it over 35 (I am 38) but to be honest other than some extra testing, this has been the easiest pregnancy of my life Congrats on your BFP!

I don't have much to offer you, except don't let the age thing scare you. I got pregnant with my first at 39 and gave birth at 40. I'm now 41 and pregnant again, and I have not had any complications at all (knocking wood, of course!). Just go with it, enjoy it!!

Agreed! This is my first and I turn 37 next week. Nothing unusual to report but I *think* it might be a little harder on us in terms of being tired. Otherwise, smooth sailing and few extra tests.

Congrats! A good friend of mine had her first baby last year at 43, she had a great pregnancy, looked hot and had a healthy baby!

I had my third at 36, 4th at 39 and I'm 43 and pregnant and I had fertility issues!! I think my later pregnancies have actually been better. I have such a healthier lifestyle now then I did years ago!! I'm so much more patient too. I really think this pregnancy looks good on me! (so far) LOL

Makes me glad to hear this. I would love to have more than one baby but I wasn't sure how much more challenging it is over 35. Seems like more and more woman are doing it though

Congratulations friend!!! I don't have any firsthad experience (yet but my mom had me at 38---and other than ignorance from society trying to tell her every negative thing under the sun---I arrived healthy, she had a short labor, and there was nothing out of the norm for her! Many prayers for a healthy pregnancy and delivery for you!
