I was searching for the information in the internet and by chance came to this website. I thought I can get valuable insights and suggestions from all of you.
I am 38, 7 weeks pregnant after Intrauterine Insemination (IUI). Yesterday I had an ultrasound and doctor told me the size of baby is small (7.3mm), the heart beat was ok. I am worried as I had a misscarriage last year in 7th week but that time the baby size was normal, the heart beat stopped. In internet, the size of 7 week embryo is mentioned to be 9mm.
I would like you to share your experiences. Is my situation not normal? and which kind of diet or activity can boost the baby growth. Doctor didn't say to worry but am worried.
Thanking all of you in advance.
Even though you have medical assistance with this pregnancy, there could still be room for "later implantation". Sounds like your only off by a couple of days. Also, measurements this early can vary widely, Ive seen that for myself. I know seeing the h/b does not comfort you much after a loss, but your situation, sounds very promissing! Good luck to you, and lots of sticky, healthy vibes your way.
O, really, their is nothing for you to do, to boost baby growth at this point. Just keep healthy and follow all your dr's advice on what to eat/not to eat. Later on, it will make a difference, but at this stage, baby will grow just fine, all on its own.
Thank you Shortcake for my beautiful siggy..]
Momma of 8 beautiful children now. Most recent is Jerry Jr. born 11/19/12 at 37wk, 7lbs 6oz and 19.5inches and Baby Reymundo born 10/7/13 at 35w6d, 6lbs 7oz, 19.5 inches. Momma of 5 angels. New siggy to come!
All of my babies have measured small in the first trimester. They have all been healthy weights in the end. When the baby is so small its hard to get an exact reading anyway. If the baby is at a slight angle he/she will measure a little off. I know its hard not to worry, but it sounds like the baby is doing well at this point!
Come over and play with us on the November due date club! I think most of us are going a little crazy in this lovely first trimester!
