I was on this board WAY back 8 years ago when I was preg with my now 8 yr old daughter, Alexa. I didn't think I would be back again, but here I am! I did miscarry this past Feb but I am now 8.5 weeks...and holding so we will see.
Congrats on your pregnancy and welcome back! Sounds like pregnancy is going good, lots of well wishes for a happy and healthy 9 months! Im 42, soon to be 43. I also had several loss's before my now 3yr old. Since then, I've had two more, with one on the way!
momma of 8 beautiful children now. Most recent is Jerry Jr. born 11/19/12 at 37wk, 7lbs 6oz and 19.5inches and Baby Reymundo born 10/7/13 at 35w6d, 6lbs 7oz, 19.5 inches. Momma of 5 angels. New siggy to come!
I have a question...were others pregnancy losses due to chromosomal abnormalities associated with age?
I am 39 and am likely having my 2nd missed miscarriage in a row. I just don't understand! Guessing the combination of my age 39 -- and my husbands age -- 53, might be increasing our odds to have complications.
We have a blended family of 4, but have no children together. We would really like to before my time expires.
Any advice would be helpful! It's nice to connect with some older moms.
Unfortunately there isn't often an identifiable reason for loss... I had two before I had my now 2 and 3 year old children (and other on the way). It is possible that there is a problem, if you suspect you are miscarrying I would highly suggest you see a doctor (as in immediately) for your own well being. If there is a problem that is affecting your ability to maintain a pregnancy the doctor can run tests to help determine what that is- and how to deal with it.
Sending lots of prayers your way hon.
Proud mom of 3 beautiful children (and one on the way!), Desiree (5), Austen (4), and Isaiah (16 months). Desiree has autism but that just adds to her sparkle.
