Good day, everyone. I am 37 years old (soon to be 38) and had a d and c in January. To my surprise, I ended up pregnant after my first cycle and am now almost 9 weeks pregnant. I have had bleeding and discovered I have a 2.2 cm SCH. My OB is very negative about my pregnancy because of my age and my becoming pregnant soon after a d and c (the pregnancy ended at 5 weeks). I have been having lower back pain and cramping but OB cannot explain why to me. I have had spotting but it has been old blood. I am just really worried and scared that I will lose this baby. I have a very sensitive uterus and previous back injury (from riding horses) so wonder if these are contributing to my cramps and back pain. I was hoping to hear some success stories from anyone who has had a similar experience. I just do not think I can bear another loss. As this was an unplanned (but welcomed) pregnancy, I think this will be my last opportunity to have another child. I have had two successful pregnancies and one missed miscarriage. Any words of encouragement, advice, or your stories would be appreciated. Thank You.

Hi! Congrats on your pregnancy! I'm sorry that your doc is not being very positive about things. I hope you prove him/her wrong! Hopefully the doc can give you ideas/suggestions on things you can do to protect this pregnancy. Have you seen the HB yet?

Not sure if you're still on the board, but last year I had a d&c in January and then got pregnant about 6 months later (so longer than you, but still not to long). I also had a SCH early on (though they never told me how big). I had bleeding early on and ended up going in to the ER to have it checked and they said it's quite common. The lower back pain could be caused maybe by stress. When I was pregnant and had morning sickness and threw up I'd have spasms in my lower back, is it similar? And btw I am 43 and just had my healthy little girl 6 weeks ago
