Hi,
My sister had her first baby in January at 25 weeks gestation. This was due to an incompatent cervix. Her and her husband want to give their daughter a sibling but they are afraid the same thing will happen or lose the baby out right. I have had 2 very healthy girls and my pregnancies were awsome... I love being pregnant.
I offered to carry their next baby for them if they wanted me to. They are considering it. I was wondering if giving up the baby after birth is difficult? Knowing that I would be giving my neice/nephew a life would be amazing. I am just afraid I will become over attached to the baby and not want to give him/her to her parents.

ng thorugh the process..that this is someone else's baby you are carrying, not your own. it has no genes of yours, it's not made of you. it is made of someone else's body. all you are doing is housing that child for a short time. 'babysitting' for 9 months. you have probably gained an attachment with your own pregnancies well..because they were YOUR babies. it's ok for you to LOVE that niece/nephew you will carry, but the connection will be different when you realize that he/she really belongs to your sister and BIL.

edited for typos grr

I really want to be a surrogate but I have a few health issues. I gave birth to a perfectly healthy girl in March of '05 without complications. What kinds of things make you a good candidate for surrogacy or make you unable to be a surrogate? Thanks!
