I really want to be a surrogate but I have a few health issues. I gave birth to a perfectly healthy girl in March of '05 without complications. What kinds of things make you a good candidate for surrogacy or make you unable to be a surrogate? Thanks!

what are your health issues?

usually major health issues are grounds for NOT being a surrogate. if you go through and agency, sometimes your weight will be frowned upon! ugly! i know, but true.

good candiate for surrogacy:

*the obvious, non-complicated pregnancy and births BUT this is NOT always grounds for NOT being a surrogate.

*mental stabilty

*financial stability (can not being on any form of government asst.)

*healthy, healthy weight (usually)

* between age of 21- 35

those are some......

I have liver problems. Nothing that has ever caused a problem but I may need a liver transplant in 20 or 30 years. I had Gemma at 40w 4d and she was 8lbs 10 oz and 20 inches. She is 18 months and perfect in every way. I guess unless its a private thing I'll never get to be a surrogate huh? That's sad. I fit all the other criteria you listed.
