Hi everyone,

Just wondering if you all have health insurance that covers these doctor visits, tests, and medications?
I will be losing my insurance soon, and wasn't sure how expensive my fertility tests, ultrasounds, and medications would be..

Some of my tests and the consultation was partially covered by my insurance. But, anything that dealt with the actual procedure is not covered. I would call your insurance company to see what they do cover and go from there. Good luck!

Everything diagnostic was covered by our insurance. Fertility meds and related tests are covered, but only if we are still trying to get pregnant on our own. Anything (tests, meds, etc.) related to IUI or IVF is not covered.

Definitely call your insurance company and ask about coverage. Also ask at your doctor's office...they can tell you how much the different tests and meds are, and they might even know what your specific insurance program covers. Also, some doctors are willing to work with you if they know you are struggling with finances, so if it comes down to it, ask your doctor what he can do (samples of medications, etc.) to help you out.

I'm on military insurance and everything, testing, visits, and US were all covered. I just had a small copay for the meds. They don't normally cover IUI or IVF unless your Doctor highly recommends it.

All of my office visits and ultrasounds are covered, as well as my IVF and IUI, should I ever need to have one of those procedures done. One of my medications were partially covered, but my trigger shot was not- but my nurse connected me to an excellent mail order pharmacy which cut my medication costs by 60%. In stores, my trigger shot wouldve been $120. Through freedom Pharmacy I paid 44.42!

Oh yeah, mail order pharmacy saves a LOT! I saved 90% on the meds for IVF through Freedom!
