Hi ladies my name is Evelyn, I'm new to this site so bare with me for a moment My Husband And I have been ttc for over a year we've been together 6 in a half years out of the 6 in a half years we have been unprotected for 5yrs .And when we decided to try it has been hard. Last Year we started going to see a specialist in January and he ran test on us when the test came back the Doctor told us that my Husband had to many white cells in his semin he prescribed him with Ciprofloxan 500 mg twice a day for 30 days and prescribed me with Clomiphene 50 mg for five days day 3-7(My Husband Was Ok After He Finished His Meds) I then went on to taking more test and 5 more cycles of clomiphene that didn't work. All of the test that my Doctor ran on me came back fine but still no pregnancy so he then gave us the option of having an IUI and we said yes. Then the Doctor put me on 100mg of Clomiphene for five days day 3-7 and I was beeing monitored. When my eggs was mature enough the doctor ordered Ovidrel (Trigger Shot) and told me to take it March 1,2010 which was supose to trigger ovulation 24 to 36 hrs later I don't understand why I had to take a trigger shot when I ovulat on my own but I done it anyway thinking that it would trippke my chances of concieving well I dected my LH Surge on cd 17 as if I didn't take the trigger shot I had the IUI done March 3,2010 . then came the 2 week wait I experienced period cramps and pregnancy symptoms I got past the 14 dpo all the way to 16 dpo which is today and I felt some pain on my left side coming from by my left ovary to the left side of my back which I have never had that before and I started bleeding but I'm not having normal period cramps it don't evenreally hurt as much as I do with my normal period could this be a last period or something? I have so much to tell about my experience and so many questions to ask could someone tell me if they or someone thet they know experienced what we did( this is driving me so crazy)
Hi and I am so sorry, I dont make it up to the subforums much. How are you doing?
I just started medical assistance with clomid this month so I am new to this.

Thank you .:Shortcake:. for my awesome siggy!!
Unfortunately, an IUI only has the same success rate as that of a typical functioning woman with no TTC problems in a normal cycle, so a 25% chance of getting pregnant per cycle. Just because it doesn't work the first time, doesn't mean it won't work if you try it again. Try not to be discouraged! It sounds like your doctor is doing what he/she thinks is an appropriate treatment plan for you...and if you have a lot of questions, do not hesitate to ask him/her...that's what he/she is there for. You should feel comfortable with the treatment plan your doctor has made for you...especially with fertility treatments being so expensive. I just had my second IUI and will not know the results for about 2 more weeks. I also did 100mg Clomid/trigger shot/IUI this cycle. The trigger shot is to make ovulation occur at a certain point to help with the timing of the IUI as opposed to just guessing when you would ovulate on your own.
