Hi all,

My DH and I have been TTC for almost 2 years (ugh). I seem to ovulate on my own (albeit sometimes late) but my RE had me try 3 rounds of clomid which didn't work. We met with her again on Friday and the next step is either a HSG or laproscopy. I had a hysteroscopy done several months ago that showed I have a perfectly normal uterus. We are leaning towards doing the lap because it gives more info and if the HSG shows blockage or is inconclusive I would need to a have a lap done anyway.

So my question to all the ladies who have had a lap what were your experiences? I'm really nervous about having surgery but we want to be aggressive.

Thanks!!

Hey there ~
I also tried Clomid for 6mo then my RE recommended having a lap done. I was sooooooooooooooo scared. I have a very low pain tolerance & was doing everything I could to get out of having it done. Finally gave in & I'm so glad I did. It really was a piece of cake & no big deal at all. At the time I had my lap, they were also able to make sure my tubes were all clear. It really was worth it, I would do it again if I had to. I was only in some minor pain (felt like I did a thousand sit ups) for like 2 days. Otherwise was back to work on Tues. after having my lap on the Fri. before. Good luck !! Its not bad

PS- I've also been TTC for 2yrs+
I know how that feels And hope we both get our BFP's real soon !!!!

Hoping for some comfort after our most recent (and 3rd) surgery and starting Lupron!
