Last Monday, the 12th I had a sono which showed a mature egg and was given an hcg shot that day (also had an lh surge that morning)...pretty sure I ovulated the enxt day. As I've explained in other posts, we were going to do IUI for a sperm sorting reasons, but opted to go natural. So I wasn't recieving HCG for fertility probs. This past Sunday I had my second shot. I have been experiencing preg symptoms bu ob said that shot can mimic preg symptoms. Just found out I have a bladder infection......... I've never had one in my life! OB also said I can't test till next Wed (when I'm due for AF)...bc I will prob get a false positive. However...of course I did...just to see that magical BFP...which I got today (I bought like 7, dollar store tests)..and got a BFP today.
Is there any way I can test and know I'm preg for real? Anyone have experience with this?

I know the positive was prob from my shot...I had 5,000 units last sunday..the 12th, and 5,000 this past Sunday morning. If my dh does a blood test (he's a dr)...and then repeats it in two days....and my hcg is going up....does that mean I'm preg? If it doesnt, does it mean I'm not?

Is mild cramping a side effect of shot? I never get crampy....or is it possibly pregnancy? I got pregnant with my dd on the first try (knock on wood)

Should I just test every day and watch the line? If it lightens, does it mean I'm not preg....or is it possible that my own HCG hasn't elevated enough by itself?

Had a sono yesterday...when experiencing the pain (before I knew it was a bladder infection)...my dad, who is the tech, said my endometrium looked really thick...like I was just about to get my period (I'm really not...not till next wed or thurs)...but it could also mean pregnancy. I think the shot thickens my endometrium though? Anyone know...soo confused, sooo worried....just a big mess over here!
