My expereince is still a work in process (we're waiting for our results). DH & I went to a lab and had blood work done. A few vials were taken and sent off for testing. It's non-invasive except for the needle.

But how expensive is it?

I'm not a good person to ask because I live in Canada and we have universal health care (i.e. all CDN's have health coverage, and I have supplementary coverage through DH's work insurance). So I didn't have to pay anything out of pocket, but I do know that it can run upwards of around $1500 per person without coverage, and it's not a cheap test.
