I'm not sure if it has any other options over the PIS other than the hands-free. You can also do this to pump hands free, but I never got it to work well enough - kellymom.com :: Hands-free pumping

A couple more features and I don't remember having this on the PIS, but maybe they are there now. It has a built in timer and a memory feature. You can save what levels and settings and such you use for pumping. It also has a timer to track pumping time. For me though the biggest reason I like it is the battery aspect. If you don't need all that you might be just fine with the PIS. When I added how much it was going to cost me to buy a battery pack for it and a hands free kit it wasn't as substantial a difference. Also I can put it on my belt and walk around the house and pump and get things done too. I can't do that with the PIS.
PIS is a good pump though so if you don't need the hands free aspect, not sure that it's worth it.
