Have any of you had a cold yet? Did you take anything? I have a cold and last night I wanted to take something, but I was afraid of doing just in case. It would been about 6 hours between me taking something and having to nurse him, but I don't know how long that stuff stays in your system.

there aren't a lot of safe meds to take while BF/pumping. i had a cold once in the past 8 months. i didn't take anything. i used a netty pot to clear out my sinuses. unfortunately, when i get a cold it almost always turns into an infection. yep - i got a bad sinus infection and needed a script for antibiotics (amoxicillin) before i started to feel better. i hope you feel better soon!

I haven't found anything here that I can get over the counter that is safe. I got a cold which turned into a sinus infection when Alex was 9 months old and ended up with a nasal spray and antibiotics from the Dr.

I think lemon drinks, water and paracetamol are your safest options. I hope you feel better soon.
