Analeigh and I have thrush. I had noticed white stuff on her tongue but just thought it was milk b/c my nipples weren't white. Well we went for her 2 month check up yesterday and I mentioned it to the dr and she looked and said yep she has thrush. It was on the inside of her cheeks also. She told me my nipples would be a pink color or like pink patches which I had. Also they have been a little sore when she latches on, but I thought it was because I had been pumping. I pump way more milk than she eats in a day and freeze it. Can I still freeze my milk? I hate to waste it? Also, I don't know how long we have had this, so I am sure there is probably tons of milk in there that has been frozen since we have had thrush. What do I do?
Anyone have any suggestions? We are both on Diflucan and I am putting yeast infection cream on my nipples. I am boiling all breast pump parts, bottles, nipples, pacifiers, etc. And I am putting a cup of vinegar in our clothes on the rinse cycle and rubbing vinegar and water on me.
All this is so time consuming and aggrevating. How long do I need to do all of this?
Also when I boil her pacifiers, water gets in them. I squeeze it out, but you can still see little droplets in there. Is it safe for her to suck a pacifier with water that has been sitting in there since I cant get it out all the way?
