go from pumping 1oz, to pumping a good 4oz, per session (every 3hrs)?
I'm currently bf'ing my son directly from the tap but i'm pretty sure hes not getting enough as his wet dipes arent that soaked. I want to pump for a while until i get enough oz for his daily needs (about 18oz).
Samuel Francisco (11/24/08, 8lbs2oz, 21in) Elijah Spencer (10/28/12, 8lbs11oz, 20.5in)
How old is your son? Is it Samuel, in your siggy? If so, 18 ounces does seem a little low even for 11 months, and if he's any younger than that, 18 ounces is really low. How often does he nurse? Does he take other liquids and solids? How much? Are you pumping after nursing?
baby nursing always empties your breasts better then pumping because baby are more efficient at emptying the breast. i would rathyer pump for 5 mins after every nursing session. a few days of that and your supply should increase.
