If you girls wouldn't mind saying a prayer for my brother & his dog, Boss, that would be great. They are putting Boss down sometime today. Not sure when. Some kind of benign cysts have infiltrated his lungs & he is struggling to breathe. He has stopped using the bathroom & is in pretty severe pain. My brother is extremely sad. He saved this dog from impending doom at 6 months old. He is a pitbull & while I know there are many that are weary about the breed, Bossman has been nothing shy of an angel. We are all very sad. He has done so many things w/ my brother, literally his best friend, & life w/o him seems very dismal at the moment. My brother is heartbroken. Awe, I'm crying as I type this. I hate seeing Ian & Boss going through this. Ian was really hoping he would die in his sleep but the darn dog's will to live is stronger than they expected.
So, if you have a moment to spare, please say a prayer for the both of them. Thanks.

Oh Astrid...I'm so sorry about your brother and Boss, it breaks my heart. I also have a pitbull and she is the sweetest dog. I will say a prayer for the both of them.
Oh Astrid my heart is breaking for them!! My brother went thru something similar with his rottie boy and we still all miss him terribly. Big hugs to them.
that is so sad. they are in my thoughts. i know how pets are truly members of the family. we had to put our 14 y/o husky down a few years back and it was one of the hardest things.
Well, Boss went to Doggie Heaven around 12:30 yesterday afternoon. It was a terribly emotional day for the whole family. Thank you so much for the support.

I am so sorry for your brother and his family. It is so heart breaking to do that. We just put our dog down when I was pregnant and he was suffering from cancer too.
At least Boss is in a better place, pain free. (((Hugs)))

Prayers going out to you and your brother I know how tough it is to lose a pet. You should send your brother the Rainbow Bridge poem. It helps reading it after the initial pain fades a little.
Definately will be in my prayers today. I had to put my Jasper down in July because of lymphoma. It was so hard in his last days watching him struggle to breathe as well. Our dogs are like our babies and it is never easy to have to make that decision because you don't want to be selfish and keep them around longer and in pain but you also don't want to lose them. It's tough. (HUGS)
