LOL! That is great.
Would you believe that I was actually pumping and answered *the* phone call that was DH's current job *offer.* So I hand the phone to him, and I learn afterwards that his colleague asked what that noise was? He told him it was the air conditioner.

I know people can hear it over the phone but it's usually family so they don't care. It's too noisy to use speaker phone with though.
When DH works from home I always wonder if the people that call him can hear me pumping right next to him! I would guess they can't bc he never says anything.

Medela PIS. i do not think it sounds like seagulls but the lady on the other end probably had no idea what that noise was and that was all she could come up with

Hahaha! I've never been outed like that. I always turn off the pump while I take a call because the pump is like 3 inches from the phone

omg that is so funny....mine is too loud to try to take a phone call while pumping so i haven't been outted either. But this makes me think it would be funny to tape the sound of the pump and then ask people what they thought it was...seagulls LOL I'd never have thought of that....

I talk on the phone a lot .... and have it on speaker, but no-one has ever commented. I asked DH once if he could hear it in the background .... he said only if he listened hard, and because he knew what he was listening for.
