Just wondering if anyone has ever used these for pumping. I am having a bit of an issue pumping for my son. I am EBF but like to have a bottle in the fridge just in case. If it doesnt get used I give it to my daughter so it doesnt go to waste.

Anyhow, I never had painful pumping when I was pumping for my DD, but with DS it is really really painful when I pump. I know the flange isnt too small..I have plenty of room about my nipple in the tunnel. What is happening though which I dont remember with DD, is a fair amount of my areola is being pulled into the tunnel as well which makes it feels like its being pinched.

Does it sound like I need the flexishields? Does anyone have any experience with them?

It sounds to me like the flange is actually too big. Check out this reference page from Medela.

I haven't used an Ameda pump so I'm not sure what options are available to you, I hope you can get something so that you can be more comfortable.
