I have a regular madela electric pump that my insurance company sent me..
It works okay, last time I had to pump (about 3 weeks ago) I got 4-5oz or so, which worked for Ashlynn's appetite..
My mom told me her friend would send me a madela pump in style original (it's a double pump) for just the cost of shipping if I wanted it.
But I'm not sure it is worth it, since I need to spend the $50 or so for new tubing for it if I choose to get it..

Do double pumps do better at getting milk as opposed to one pump?
If it won't make things easier/more efficient, I probably won't take the pump..I don't have the money to spare if it won't make things simpler.

yes double pumping is more efficient. i also had an older model PIS original i got free from a family friend. the accessory kit from BRU is $25. you can order tubing online for less than $10. make sure it's for the original and not the PISA - they have different tubing! i would say it's worth it.

Thank you! As long as it's worth the cost, I'm all for it.
I had been having problems getting anything from the pump I have since the only time I managed to get anything was when I was nearly engorged..and thats rare now...LOL!

I think you'll notice a difference .... Good luck!

Also - I have to ask. Are you from NZ? I am too. Born in ChCh, went to varsity in Wgtn, met my husband there and still have a house there. We hope to go home in a couple of years.
