I'm Stacy mommy to 3yo Hayden and 10 week old Micah. Micah was born at 37 weeks and during his hospital stay his blood sugar level dropped so much that the doctor had me supplement with formula until my milk came in....well since he was given bottles he wasn't a great nurser and then a few weeks ago just flat out refused to nurse and is still refusing to nurse so I've been EP and giving him bottles. So far it's going okay, I'm trying to pump every 2- 2 1/2 hours to mimic what he used to nurse and am eating oatmeal to keep my supply up. Right now he is taking 3oz and I'm pumping 4-5 between both breast.
thanks for the intro. It sounds like you're doing great. I really do believe it's important to pump frequently while they're little to mimic their natural feeding pattern. Hopefully in a few weeks you'll be able to ease up and not see too much of an effect on your supply.
