Hi all! I'm Lucy and I am starting to lurk here more and more since I'm stocking up milk for returning to work. I have an older Ameda Purely yours that's been working fine. It's a bit loud and heavy though, which is why I bought the Medela Freestyle to use at work. I have to do field work often that will have me away from the office, in which case the Freestyle will be awesome since it's battery operated!

For those of you that work:
Do you take the pump back and forth with you? Would it be worth it to get some spare parts, leaving the shields and such and just carrying the tubing and pump back & forth? What do you do to make this part easier?

When I am working I leave the house at 4:30 am and have over an hour commute one way. I need this to be as easy as possible!!

becasue I only ever pumped at work I would leave my pump there and just take the bottles and shields back and forwards. I had a PISA and had my own office so was able to leave the pump there safely. The only times I would take it home were on a Friday .... just in case. It worked fine unless I unexpectedly got sick and then found myself at home without a pump and baby .... and had to use the yucky hand pump attachment. It was ok for the day.

Good luck! I guess if you feel you have somewhere safe to leave it and will only be BF'ing at home and it makes your life easier then you should leave it behind.

I dont have a safe locked area that I can leave my pump so I take it back home with me, b/c I feel too uncomfy leaving it in a open office area and people having sticky fingers. I figured it costs so much I dont want to risk anyone stealing it, but that's just my work area. I think do what ever is easier and works for you.

I bring my pump back and forth with me since it's the only one I have and I pump at home occasionally (well occasionally at first, now I do every day). I like the security of having it with me in case I want to go somewhere and need to pump to replace a feeding.

I carry mine back and forth with me each day. It's a pain but I pump at home each night to get a little extra just in case. If you already have another pump you could use at home I would leave the pump and just bring the bottles back and forth.

I brought mine back and forth every day- but often I did an extra pump after DD went to bed and it was my only pump (Other than a crappy emergency hand one.)

I brought mine back and forth because I treated it like one of my most precious possessions. I was always afraid I would be somewhere without it and need it...though if you have 2, guess that's not a problem.

I just kept everything (spare parts included) in the bag so it was all in one place.
