Did you buy your pump for yourself or was it a gift from someone?

I almost hate to answer this question... it was given to me by the hospital. (Ameda Purely Yours double electric).

They started a program not too long before I had my LO where employees using our insurance and delivered at the hopsital got a free pump. (or something like that). the only thing I have had to do was get a call every couple months to see if recieving the pump helped me to continue breastfeeding, etc. so, i was really lucky I didn't have to buy one.

That's an awesome deal. I assume that you're experience and feedback has been positive. Hopefully it will lead the hospital and insurance company will decide to do it again for more new mothers.

My friend gave me her barely used pump. I was so grateful to not have to purchase anything but replacement parts!
