Do you know anyone IRL who is pregnant? Have you discussed BF and/or pumping with them?

Yep, my friend who happens to sit across from me at work is 20 weeks, and just found out they are having another boy! We frequently chat about pregnancy related stuff, including pumping at work and breastfeeding. She was encouraged by her DH's family to quit BFing early with her first son, so she's really happy to know someone who is currently doing it and planning to go longer. They had her convinced that it wasnt' normal and was icky. Makes me mad just to think about it!. She also felt guilty for taking the time to pump at work, even though our company is very supportive of pumping mamas. I'm hoping that this time around she'll feel more comfortable with it and not feel guilty.

I don't know anyone who is preggo but me, my sister and cousin all had babies in the same month...my sister is EBF and my cousin is FF, she tried BF but it was hard for her because her LO was born at 32 weeks and in the NICU for 4 weeks on an IV so she stopped and went to formula after a couple weeks..me, I'm EPing because Micah was given formula along with BFing in the hospital because his blood sugar kept dropping (he was born at 37 weeks) The doctor told me to supplement formula until my milk came in and after about a month he wanted nothing to do with nursing so I've been EPing ever since!!

My SIL is due in Aug. I haven't seen her since Jan when she announced her pregnancy and I'm not a huge phone person so we haven't talked for a while. I'll happily give her advice if she asks but don't want to come across too pushy.

my friend just had her baby about 6wks ago, but life has been so crazy that we haven't been able to get together yet. she also is bfing and plans to pump when she goes back to work.

My BFF is currently TTC #1. I'll gladly talk about anything with her - and if she choses to pump (I know she wants to BF, and she works - so...) I will give her whatever advice I can! She's not a big internet person, so she may feel kind of alone with things. That's where I hope I can help!
