We jsut got an elliptical in our home. I couldn't help but think "hmmm. maybe I could pump while I get on the elliptical". Has anyone tried doing some type of excercise while pumping? or should it be avoided and i should focus on being relaxed more than up and moving?
I have no idea about that ... it'll be an interesting experiment that you'll have to report back on.
Seriously though I do know that many ladies have noticed a reduction in their supply when they start exercising due to their body needing more energy to exercise so having less for milk making. So you may need to eat a little more to get back in balance.
I haven't tried it either but this is just me, when I exercise or pump I like to only focus and relax on that particular activity. If I tried doing both I think it'd stress me out too much, and I wouldn't produce alot and my workout would be crap. But if you're good enough to multi-task I say give it a try:]
You are CRAZY!!! But I want to hear how it goes. For me, i can't move around too much when I pump or I get less than optimal suction.
I was one who noticed a definite supply drop when I worked out. It wasn't so much the length of time for me but the intensity. Keep pumping the water and don't forget to replace the calories that you burned for the workout.
Ya know what - I hate to disappoint, but I won't be trying this out. I realized the other night that with my height and where the bottles would be, and where the handles are..i'd be bumping into the equipment!
and like someone else said, when i'm excercising, i do like to try to focus, etc. I don't want to be distracted with pumping, or vice versa.
