Hi all! I'm an old time member, been done pumping for about 10 months now. I was wondering if anyone knew if it was "common" to still leak occasionally this far into having weaned?

Every now and then (maybe a couple times a month??) I will still get a drop or two of milk that will flow out on it's own. I can squeeze some out all the time (not much but some) but find it very odd that sometimes it can still come out on it's own.

It just did it again last night. Libby woke up at 3am with a blood curdling scream from a nightmare and when I laid her back down I felt something and wiped my breast and it was a little wet. I knew I wasn't imagining it before when it happened so I was just curious lol. I haven't pumped since probably July or August of last year!

I've heard of people still having a little milk left years after they stopped pumping/BF'ing; it's possible

ditto to Anne it's probably not the norm but I don't think you need to worry about it. I guess your body and let down reflex if still very much in tune with Libby.

How are you? Hope all is well!

i have heard of it, but it's never happened to me. then again, i never leaked a single drop, ever! and i BF for 26 months! jacob self-weaned 4 weeks ago, and i didn't even have any engorgement (guess that's what happens when you BF that long).
