I can't see us ever using all of this. I have about 150 bags with 3oz each of frozen milk. I tossed everything I had at the nicu (they had 2 containers for me). My deep freeze has no room for anything else. I am still pumping since I have to give fortified bottles but she is only taking 1.5oz a feeding and I'm pumping about 6oz. I looked into donating but I can't because you can't be on any medications and I'm on insulin. I feel bad just dumping it but I don't know what to do with it. Any ideas?

that sucks .... I was going to suggest donation but then I saw your comment about insulin. What about trying "eats on feets" or one of the other "less formal" donation groups. If you could find a mother with low supply who is also on insulin, perhaps it wouldn't be an issue for her??

Yah, it's kind of dumb since technically, everyone is on insulin. Mine is just made in a lab.

I agree with this. Is it bad to give milk like that to a child or people would just rather not? I would try eats on feets. There may be a mom on there who doesn't mind.

Try MilkShare, you can post that you are on insulin and why.

Not sure where you can donate, but be sure to keep some in case of emergency, like you or the baby have to be in the hospital or go to a sitters' house. BTW, I am totally jealous of your stash!

I'd also recommend searching for your local Eats on Feets... or maybe your local La Leche League would know of a mama who needs donor milk and would consider yours.

When your DD starts eating solids you can mix breastmilk in there too.

well . . . you can turn it into something else If you know how to make lotion, BM makes the BEST lotion!!

If you're not squeamish . . . breast milk icecream, perfect for hot days! Breastmilk also makes for a wonderful latte!!

That sounds like a good idea too! You can make your own cheese. If it ages well, you can save it for when your baby is older to have as a snack!
