My daughter is 3 weeks old. I started pumping in the hospital before I brought DD home. For the first week I pumpled every 2 hours and got quite a lot of milk. I am talking like 6 ozs a session. Starting during week 2 I got 3 ozs a session, but this week I have been pumping every 2 hours and I only get 3 oz TOTAL the whole day. I am not sure what is causing this or how to fix it. I have been drinking plenty of water and eating healthy. I have not changed anything since I started pumping. Any advice??
are you pumping on top of breastfeeding or exclusively pumping? if you're pumping on top of breastfeeding, then it's normal for your body to start making the right amount of milk for your LO so there won't be much extra to spare.
