I've never posted here before. I have one DD who is 2 1/2 and one on the way. With DD I just used my regular freezer, but I don't use pumped milk every day, so there would be long stretches where she would exclusively nurse, and then there would be a period where I was really busy and would need to have a sitter give her a bottle every day. I found myself discarding old milk a lot and then getting too low on my stash. This time I really want to get a deep freezer.
My question is, do any of you own one? What do you have and how much did you pay for it? I just did some preliminary research and there's way too much variety! I don't even know where to start! Some of them are really pricey! We will use it after baby is done with pumped milk, so it's not like we'll just use it for a while and then never again. We've talked about getting meat far in advance to save money, freezing meals, etc.
I have a deep freeze, but I don't have much input on brand/price/etc. I dont remember what brand it is and we got it off craigslist for $100 I think. It's pretty big and works great, I love it. I buy tons of meat when it's on sale and have made some meals ahead of time too. I kind of go in spurts for that. Good luck with finding a freezer!
