Ug! I was so ready to quit today. I am tired of leaving every meeting early and arriving to every meeting late! Today was particularly bad. I pumped for about 2 hours total (3 sessions) and I only got 9 oz!!

It is because DS nursed right before I left for work, so I only got 1 oz on each side during the first morning pump, but it was SOOO frustrating! I don't mind taking the time out to pump, but I hate it when I sacrifice everything else at work and STILL wind up empty-handed. DS needs at least 12 oz while I'm gone, and I have no stash to fall back on.

He is eating solids like a champ and thinks yogurt is the very best thing that has ever happened to him in his life. I wish I knew how much milk he actually needs at this point.

aww. Take some time to relax this weekend. My milk supply took a dive around his age and I ended up adding in an extra session at home in the mornings. Also around 9 months I decreased the milk she got during the day from 12oz to 9oz. I let her nurse as she wanted at home (and strangely enough, shortly after that she stopped waking during the night to nurse. probably not related, but it took away milk she was getting at those times so at first I worried a bit), and she did great with solids.

It'll be okay, keep your head up. I understand taking time out of your work day, and then barely getting anything when you do pump. I had that problem from about 9months on. I didn't have a freezer stash and wasn't pumping enough at work, so I had to substitute one bottle of formula. At first I felt bad, but then realized she's still getting bm, I've done everything I can handle to try and get more milk out (withou making myself crazy!), so one bottle isn't the end of the world, and it actually put a lot of stress off of me.

Not saying this is what you have to do but an option, and whatever you choose or do, just realize you're doing what you think is best for your family:]

Thanks ladies! That makes me feel better. Erin - I am always worried that if I decrease what he gets during the day he will never sleep through the night, so I'm glad to hear that wasn't your experience. He is eating so much these days that maybe he just doesn't need that much any more.

I kept him home yesterday because he had a cold. We'll see how pumping goes today. I get the day off from work for election day (I have no idea why, but hey, I'm not complaining!). So this is the first day I get to just stay home by myself. It is awesome!!

My supply is starting to dip too. But it's really bad when Sean feeds in the early morning, AND I'm on my period. We're starting to decrease his daytime bottles though, so I'm getting ready to cut down to only one pump a day at work. We do have quite the frozen stash though.

One pump a day! That would be awesome! I keep feeling like AF is coming but then it's just spotting for a day or two. Not that I want her to come! But maybe that has something to do with it...

The last couple of days were better. I hope he starts decreasing soon. The daycare is also very bad at documenting how much they are actually giving him, so it's hard for me to know how much he needs. I'm finishing school in December and my #1 job is going to be to find a new daycare!!

hang in there. I know it's frustrating but you dan do it.

We had a similar problem with our daycare and Ollie ... although I think they were the opposite ...saying he was eating more than he did. Apparently he ate 15ox during the day, but then he BF every 2 hours at night as well???? I never believed them.
