My son is three and a half months old, and I would love to quit pumping at Christmas time. By then, I will have probably 3-4 months frozen to feed him when I"m done. Right now I have probably 2 months. I am a teacher, so my times that I pump at work can not change. I can pump at 8:00 and 12:00 there. How do I wean myself so I don't get sick or aren't in pain, and how soon should I start? I have no idea how to do this! THANK YOU!
Thank you brie_91 for my Siggy!
If you have set times you can pump, probably the best way to wean from it would be to slowly cut back on how much time you pump. So if you usually go 15 minutes, cut it back a minute or two each day so you slowly start taking less milk away which will tell your body to make less milk at those times.
