I've got a 1 week old and was unable to get her to latch on so we got a Medela pump in style.
I'm SO engorged and it's so painful. I "can" get up to 5 oz per breast every 3 hours.
But I've started cutting the pump off at 2.5 oz per breast trying to get my production to back off some.
My breasts still feel extremely full , hard and hot and painful after each pump.
I'm in a 40E that I got fitted for yesterday and it's already too small.
My back is killing me. I can't sleep much.
How long does this painful engorgement period last?
I'm exclusively pumping for Jade to have breast milk and am freezing everything extra.
Please give me advice on what to do to keep my sanity!
