I have a Medela PISA that I don't think is right for me. The most I can ever get is 3-4 ounces, double pumping. Even if I power-pump for 20 minutes, take a 10 minute break and pump and repeat for an hour. It doesn't matter how full I feel or if I just pumped 30 minutes earlier. I can increase it ever so slightly by hand expressing as well. I never feel "empty" after pumping, I don't notice a big difference in how I feel before or after pumping period, unless I have a slightly engorged duct. I've tried different size flanges and changing the strength. The only thing that it changes is how it feels, doesn't change how much I'm able to pump.
My question is, has anyone not responded well to the Medela pumps and found another brand that worked better for them? All I ever hear/read is how everyone loves Medela so I feel like such an odd ball.
I have a medela pump and on average I get 4-5 ounces total when double pumping. I've heard that 3-4 ounces is about average at a pumping session. The pump is obviously not as effecient as baby. I used an $80 playtex double pump before that but one day a plastic peice broke off...ugh so cheap. It works about the same. I find the best luck pumping first thing in the morning. Also you can see if taking a shower before hand, making sure your relaxed, drinking LOTS of water, and fenugreek might help give you a little supply boost.

Ditto I like my medela, so I am no help, but 3-4 oz isn't terrible either. I get 4-5 oz each pump during the day, 8-9 oz first thing in the morning, and usually 5-8 oz just before bed (but there is a longer time between the last day pump and my bedtime pump)
