My name is Kathy and I have a 7 1/2 month old named Brody. I was breastfeeding/pumping until close to 6 months. He started getting so active and crawling that it was making breastfeeding impossible because he wouldn't stay still long enough, so he wasn't eating enough. I then started pumping and now do it exclusively. I pump 4x a day, 6-8 ounces per session. It was really important to me that he have breastmilk, in whatever form it had to come in! Pumping is kind of a pain in the butt, but ya gotta do what ya gotta do.
welcome! I'm an ep'er too. I tried to breastfeed but she has a high palate and couldn't transfer milk. I ep'ed for my first too because of a similar problem. It is a pain in the butt, but my baby also projectile vomits formula so I feel I have no choice which certainly makes it easier for me to do it when I don't feel like it.
