I'm an old pro at pumping, this is my second time ep'ing. However I've noticed that after I pump, on my right side my nipple is white! It doesn't hurt, but is sensitive. I got a larger breast shield and it still happens. By the time my next pumping comes around it is normal again.

Any ideas? I get less milk out of the right side too, often an ounce or more less than the left.

I've heard of this before from my lactaction nurse, but she said to get a bigger shield, which you have done, so I dont know...

It can happen when breast feeding too. It is lack of blood in the nipple from suction. It doesn't really hurt anything. happens to me quite a bit too.
