WTH is horizon? Or mermaid? Or apple? Apple used to be something like "candy apple red", but is just pain apple a red or a green or a yellow? What is espresso, aside from some shade of brown? And the "caramel" colors I've seen are all a medium brown or darker when caramel itself has gold in it. I'm lost on what's going on with colors these days! I swear I think half of them are made up to make them sound more special. I think "ocean" refers to a color that is aqua. What's wrong with the real names of colors instead of trying to make these colors seem elite?

They are awful, most of them arnt even right. I hate when people have to give a "correct" term for a color, instead of one we understand. I dont get when people have to say the fancy name, then tell us what is really is. When I went, there was a color that was purple, called some shade of blue. and it dosnt help that the tux place goes by one term, and at the dress place its a totally differnt color!

Pretty soon color names will mean nothing at all! A purple that's called blue....

I work with textiles, and color-matching is VERY important, but the weirdest color names I can think of, chartreuse and aubergine, both are very distinct colors and you're not going to find a thousand shades called those names.

Is horizon supposed to be a red, orange, or yellow color like when the sun first starts to go down? Is it a blue or purple when the sun's newly down? It's just really stupid. Even giving the hex code for colors is easier nowadays than whatever the made-up colors are.
