Did you have an engagement party? Or even just a small gathering with friends?

we did not have one, however the day after we got engaged we were at a concert with a lot of friends and family so it felt like a big engagement party!

I seem to be the one who does things huge here we had sort of a big thing. I had no idea what an engagement party was supposed to be like (never been to one) and we ended up booking a room in a hall where i actually had my sweet 16 at many years ago (smaller room this time though) I actually have a funny story that goes along with this too! There was a sweet 16 going on in the room next door and a few of the kids came in 4-5 times through the night and "crashed" my party. (i didn't care) At one point my brother-in-law decided we should go crash their party! About 15 of us went like gangbusters into their room and onto the dance floor! The DJ even acknowledged that we entered the room!!! Kinda awkward but hilarious! We were there for a few minutes when the mother of the sweet 16'er kicked us out. So we left in a big group stompin to the music and with our hands up and everything. Apparently we were a hit though because as we were exiting their party, some of their guests joined us and followed us back to our room!! Some of the kids continued to pop in and out throughout the night and at one point the waiter in my room told them to leave because they weren't invited! I was close by so i ran over and put my arm around two of them and said "nahh they're good" HAHAH!!!

This is when we crashed their party:

And this is one of the many times they came into ours, that's the girl in blue who was havin the sweet 16 (im the crazy one in red)

And on that note ahahah...we did all the decorating, my mom sister and I, which was fun. It was in February so we did a red theme with hearts and stuff.

Oh! And we got these awesome chocolate covered strawberries from Shari's Berries (ordered them online) they represented a bride and a groom!! Each table got a few and the hall put some regular strawberries out too.

Sorry for all the pics im such a picture person
