Is there anything you are doing/did in your wedding that is tradition for your family?? Something that was passed down from your family to wear, etc?

I'm sure my grandmother will try and pin her cameo on me. I know my cousin got out of wearing it, so I'm hoping the same.

I'm going to have my dad's wedding ring pinned into my dress. Everyone keeps telling me to put it on my cremation pendant.. but my pendant is silver and his ring is gold and it would cover the pendant... so I'm refusing that. That'd be my something borrowed.

Blue, probably undies. lol.

New, will of course be my dress.

As for the old.. I have no idea. My family is big into gold, which I hate, so borrowing jewelry is pretty hard. Maybe his family will have something we can use for old.

I have no idea what my something old, borrowed, or blue is going to be! haha

And we don't have any big family traditions that are being passed down. My parents didn't have a "wedding". They just got married at the courthouse where only I was present and then had a party at my aunts house with just close family.

My parents got married in 1998 when I was 15. My aunt and uncle in 1993 when i was 10. And my other aunt and uncle in 2009 wen I was in my 20's... so I've been to most of my family wedding.

I do know there are few reception things I will be expected to do, which are fine. LOL

Besides the something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue (which i did do ) we got married in the church that's tradition for my family. My mom got married there, sister, aunts/uncles, etc. The same goes for baptism and all that stuff too, which now that i moved to another state, i'll be making the trip to uphold the tradition.

Oh, and we all took pics on the steps of the church with the wedding party, that's tradition too
