How will you / did you decorate for the ceremony?? If it's in a church, how did you decorate the pews?? If it's outside how are you decorating the end chairs that are on the aisle (if you are at all)?

We will be in a church and I'm not sure how I want to decorate the pews. I think that this idea is super cute with the silver tin pails since we are going for more of country theme if I can figure out how to hang them.

Or I suppose I could just use tulle but that just seems kind of fancy for us?? I just don't know

that's a post bracket for those pots it's for hanging the pots around poles in the ground. You can probably find them at a hardware store, or online. you could probably use Ribbon or fabric braces too, just have someone sew them into a circle just large enough to go around the post and the pail and it should hold them as long as you aren't filling the pails with dirt

I doubt we'll do much decorating. It tends to get destroyed quickly at weddings down home, and it's just not worth it. Every table seat will have a favor. Each table will have a collection of candles. Each table will have a tall vase with a candle, and when we do the first dance we'll put them on the floor in a big circle.

Other than that we've only discussed the head table. We got glasses from our trip to New Orleans that we'll put on the table with either flowers or floating candles. We have my mask, and the elephant (which will have our old rings on them since we're getting new ones). Probably some fake flowers tossed around for color.

I may make some oragami things to put on the tables too, since cranes are good luck for weddings.

At the church we had flowers with a ribbon on the pews and 2 arrangements (1 on each side) in the front of the church.

At the reception hall on the tables there was a flower arrangement on top of a tall vase with an orchid floating in it.

My sister had "presents" in red and gold on her tables, she got married in December of 2006, sorry i couldn't find a better pic of hers, my camera back then sucked

i ditto on the dress!

My minister and I do not agree on what's appropriate in a church for a wedding so we aren't getting married in mine. He doesn't let you video tape, and doesn't let the photographer use a flash because it distracts him.

My grandmother is going to talk to my old minister, and see if there's anything she can do to override the current one there and do the ceremony with out him present. There have only been 10 weddings done in the church since he took over, almost everyone else goes with the near by Anglican minister and does it outdoors.. that has to say something about the guy running the church! She married my parents and there were flashes going off left and right! I want good pictures dangit!

My dress will be a looot simpler. I don't think I could handle a long train like that since I plan on being in my dress until DH takes it off me later that night. LOL

I think that's ridiculous that he won't let you video or use a flash!!!! I hope your grandmother can get something worked out for you!!

My dress was mad heavy and my train was flippin huge but i kept it on all night!! I only took it off before DH and i went to the hotel that night cuz we were leaving for our honeymoon early in the morning and didn't want to take it with me so i gave it to my dad I wanted it to be a big dress though, i had them extend the train cuz i'm a maniac It was 52 strings to bustle it and took 3 ppl!!!

Oh and i had a cathedral veil too I took off the longer part once i got bustled tough.

Here's another angle of the train (cuz i'm a picture maniac too )

And the bustle
