We haven't set a time for the wedding yet. I just don't really know how long everything takes. How much time for ceremony, how much time for pictures afterwards, how much time for everyone to get settled at reception and have dinner, and then still have 4 hours dance time???
I'm thinking we should have the ceremony at either 2:30 or 3:30. What time is your ceremony??
Thank you Quantum_Leap for my fabulous signature!!!
The only time slot available for us at the church on the date we wanted was 1pm. And the only time slot available for the reception was 8:30pm. I was worried about it being such a huge gap between the two, but it worked out nicely and we didn't have to rush to take pictures.
Photographers will request nothing less than 2 hours for photos, but reccomend up to 4.
My ceremeony is at 3, with pictures from 4-7. This is all by request of the photographer. He did my cousin's wedding this summer and they only got a handful of photos because they didn't start until 7pm. After 6pm he needs to be wrapping up because we'll all be trying to get something to eat before the reception (since we're not doing a full meal).
Speeches and Dances from 8-9 and then party time until the DJ says "GO HOME"
