Your Bridal Party..

How are/were they? What do they mean to you?

Mine are set to be:

Maid of Honor: Courtney - my closest to age cousin
Bridesmaid: Jennifer - bestfriend (and fellow JMer)
Jr. Bridesmaid: Tori - my little cousin
Flower Girl: Teanna - my baby cousin (Tori's sister)

Best Man: Adam - Friend of DH, is responsible for DH getting diagnosed properly with Metal poisoning
Groomsmen: James - Friend of DH
Jr. Groomsmen: Unsure. Either Aiden - my MoH's step son or Reme - my stepson
Ring Bearer - none

DH, Adam, James and I all played the same online MMORPG game and it's how we all met. LOL. Seems fitting that they stand for him! James has a soft spot for me

Maid of Honor- Katelyn (friend who probably knows the most about me,don't talk more than a few times a month but can always pick up right where we started )
Bridesmaids- Tanika, a friend from elementary school
Heather, was supposed to be my moh but she was supposed to go on a trip, when it got cancelled I still wanted her a part of my wedding but already asked katelyn to be my moh
Becky, my sister, she might not be able to make it but if she does I want her in it
Sylvia, probably my closest friend down here

All my kids will be a part of the wedding in some way, Destiny will probably be a junior bridesmaid, Jaiden a jr groomsmen, Lily my flower girl, and Matthew and Maddox joint ring bearers

Best man and Groomsmen, df as decided on people but not who will be his best man, since he is torn, but they will be
Bryan- His best friend from hs, and also a really good friend of mine
Tom- Another really good friend from high school
Joe- His best friend from college, and they work together, cause they graduated at the same time, and Thomas got him a job at Audi where he works

Steve- Thomas's dad (will not be a best man but we wanted to include him in the wedding lol )

We won't be having a wedding party... just us and an officiant.

Well my bridal party was huge so i'll just give an overview

Maid of Honor was one of my sisters

Flower girl(s) was one of my step-sisters daughters and my sisters daughter/my niece....she was really young so she was kind of there for show, my nephew (one of the ring bearers walked her down)

Ring bearers were my two nephews (brothers)

Bridesmaids consisted of my other sister, lots of cousins (his and mine) and my 2 best friends

Best man was DH's brother, and the groomsmen were cousins (his and mine) my brother-in-law and a few of DH's close friends.

lol Lauren, you had what we'd call a Newfie wedding. Down where my family is from everyone and their aunt is in your wedding party. I think the biggest in my family was 13 on each side (not counting the flower girl or ring bearer).

This is a "Small" wedding party.

and a smaller one:

My maid of honor had 3 girls and 3 guys plus her flower girl... I'm the odd ball out going with just the two. LOL

LOL! I had 10 girls and 10 guys not including the flower girl(s) and ring bearers!! I have a lot of close cousins who all lived within a 10 min drive and it was one of those "if you chose one you'd have to include the others!"

All my female cousins are in my party already... I have a lot of male ones, but none of which I'd want in my party. I do have two more I'd like to ask.. but I really do not know if I can afford another tux and dress... We decided to pay for them ourself.. the men don't know that yet, but the girls do. I suspect the men are going to put their foot down and tell me to shove my money. LOL

So far I have four of mine picked out, my BFF is my maid of honor, my first cousinismy honorary moh (she lives out of state, so she's taken the honorary title), one of my guy friends, and another friend of mine from school. DH's groomsmen are his 5 brothers plus three of his frat brothers.So I still got 4 more people to find! I'm thinking of asking my aunt. I don't like it being unbalanced. DS will be a ringer bearer/best man. DF's brothers started arguing over who go to be best man so he just said Marcus would be. He won't even be a year yet, but he gets the title.

So here is what's goin on with mine......We had an appointment mid-November to go bridesmaid dress shopping and all 4 said they were going to be there. Well 2 days before "A" backed out (not surprised). She's from out of state and said she was asked to work and couldn't pass up the overtime. I get that I really do I'm just not sure if that was the real reason but I'll never know so whatev no big deal. The day of the shopping trip "K" backed out (a little surprised about this one but not totally shocked). She sent me a million texts trying to explain herself by say she was having an emotional break down that day and did not want to put a damper on a day that was suppose to be fun. She proceeded to tell me everything that was going wrong in her life causing all of her stress and the reason for the break down. So of course I understood, kind of. After things that have happened after that day I'm not so sure I believe everything she says, actually I don't believe a lot of what she says. So my two girls who have always been by my side and me went to the appointment, had an amazing time, and chose a gorgeous dress! They day after (so on November 13) I sent both girls a message explaining everything about the dress. I sent a message as opposed to calling so that way I knew they were both getting the exact same information and there would be no mis-communication. I attached a pic of the dress we chose and asked that they both get their measurements done and deposit in by no later than Jan 1. They both said that that would be no problem and that they loved the dress. "A" even said she would get it taken care of in the next couple of weeks (she still hasn't got her measurements or deposit done). "K" said she would get it done the first week of December (she didn't) and then Friday said she was going on Monday (yesterday) to do it and she didn't. Their deadline is coming up quick and I'm going to turn bridezilla if they don't have it done. I'm honestly worried that they aren't really wanting to stand up with me but can't just tell me so they will essentially tell me by not buying the dress........ahhh!! I'm so sorry this is so long and god bless you if you read the entire thing......I knew that "A" would procrastinate so she isn't stressing me out too much but there has been some other issues going on with "K" that just make me want to scream!!!!!! Thank goodness I have two girls that are helping me with everything and actually care about helping make my day perfect! Ok vent over!
