For my own wedding, We each had 1 person stand up with us, and no children in the wedding party. I really believe there is no right or wrong number in this situation!

I had one matron of honor and three bridesmaids. My matron of honor was my best friend and my bridesmaids were my husband's sisters and my sister. My husband had one best man and three groomsmen. We didn't have a ring bearer or a flower girl.

Small party for us. one maid of honor, one bridesmaid, one best man and one groomsman. So, 2 on each side, that's it. No flower girl or ring bearer.

We're having four bridesmaids and three groomsmen. No matron/maid of honour or best man. Just a group of amazing friends!
