I am new here and I think I may have posted something similar to this the other day in the wrong section of the forums. For that, I apologize (I apologize if this is the wrong section as well). I am looking for good tv shows to watch with my older kids. A lot of cartoons these days are either too mature or for toddlers. My kids are getting into that in-between stage. I was just curious as to what shows are appropriate for aobut 6-9 year olds. Any suggestions would be great, as I haven't been able to find much that will keep both kids occupied without going somewhat over the top in some areas.

I will say that I discovered the new Jungle Book on Disney XD this morning. A show like that fits exactly what I am looking for. It airs at 8am here on Directv on the west coast. We watched the first 15min episode before leaving and recording the second one. It is fun, and adventurous while subduing any violence. The actions of the bad Sher Khan don't seem over the top evil at all. My kids are already starting to "play Jungle Book" after just one set of episodes. So needless to say we will be watching, but I would like a few more suggestions to check out with them!! Thank You!!

I just checked it out and it looks great! Definitely a great show! But I noticed they weren't the original characters. My kids enjoyed it nonetheless, and didn't complain about that. Anyone else notice this?

Sponge bob, I personally think that fairly odd parents is another good one. Really sparks the imagination. I actually kind of enjoy it.

I don't know what these shows are. . . But I hate spongebob. I'd love to find a show for the kids where the parents aren't idiots, kids aren't brats or the characters aren't rude. The Disney channel is about the best for kids but it has a lot of dumb shows.

Yes its true that working in any reality show is really difficult for anyone as same present the character and happening of life not looking artificial in this way the character can loose its own worth.
