Well got the all clear for the home birth.. so yay! on that aspect... the cord insertion is 7mm from the edge of the placenta which the midwives are very comfortable with. The doctor I met with is the emergency back-up plan.. so it's nice that I have someone specific for that as opposed to just checking me in randomly at a hospital! We registered with the ambulance service today and next week my midwife will be coming for a home visit.... if Delilah hasn't made her appearance yet... :|
Further comments about aging of the placenta (bad me and my tums... I should have listened to Heather) made them warn me that I may be be delivering sooner then later...
Whole car ride home (was in the car for several hours) I'd been getting stronger and stronger contractions about 3-5 min appart... Since I got out of the car, they have started settling down... feeling more like BH and less like contractions now... But it could mean that we do not have much longer (as in days as opposed to weeks) could also mean nothing at all.. lol
Thats awesome! Congratulations. I had contractions on and off in the evenings, some lasting 4 minutes-seriously for probably 2 or 3 weeks. It was great though because when I did finally go into labor I was already 5-6cm dilated...so it really cut down on active labor. Maybe do some lunges/squatting to encourage her to get nice and low.
