hi...i have been lurking for a bit and my boyfriend and i are throwing around the idea of having a homebirth. he is all for it, and i like the idea of it but need more information. i currently have a midwife and i know she does do homebirths but i am wondering what sort of questions i should ask her at my next appt so that i can be reassured that everything will be okay. what sort of things should i ask or do i need to know about??
Glad you're here! That's a great link to start with. Once you sit down to talk with your midwife, one question will likely lead to some you hadn't thought of yet, until you're all set. Best of luck to you!

Pretty much just opening up the topic of homebirth with your midwife will lead to a great conversation. I find that topics and questions flow and towards the end the big questions really do get answered.
Write down some of the things that you REALLY want to know. What are your FEARS. Why do you WANT to have her attend you at home. What does she BRING to a birth.
Let us know what happens!
