Our son was born June 3 at 8:10pm, weighing 9lbs and 20.5 inches long! We had him in the pool after about 1 hour of pushing and over 12 hours of labor. It was the most amazing experience and I will post his story soon! BTW his name is Thuya (Thoo-YA). Its a Burmese name meaning "sun". DH is Burmese.

I loooooooove these pictures. I agree, your DH looks like he just got a super cool toy on his 6th birthday lol. The second picture though - absolutely beautiful - almost made me cry. Its just so perfect. Its like you havent got a clue whats going on around you, just fully & totally consumed with the baby you just brought into the world. I remember that moment from my birth. When nothing else in the world seemed to exist except that baby Its almost like you cant take your eyes off of them for wanting to memorize absolutely everything

Thanks ladies! I guess that DH was more awake than I was! He is a really wonderful father though, wow, I can't believe how naturally he bonds with our son. I am so beyond thankful that I was able to have a successful homebirth. Thuya's birth was the most beautiful day of my life thats for sure.
