I met with my 2 midwives who i will be working with for my HB. It took such a long time to find someone in my area. My dh came with me and we all talked for about 2 hours and we all were on the same page. i finally feel like i'm on my way to have my HB. They both addresses dh and i questions and are very supportive of the type of birth i want. They both are very hands off they are just there to provide with support and help me through the process. The only thing i'm not to sure about is childcare for my dd. She is normally in daycare but my midwives want me to have a back up plan. I don't necessarily want MIL there but she is the only person close enough to come and help. I will be seeing the midwives every 2-3 weeks. And at about 36 weeks they come to my home. I've opted not to test for Group B strep and Gestational Diabetes. Oh and they gave me a list of supplies needed and a hypno birthing CD. Just wanted to share that with you ladies !!!!
Yay! My only advice, do not have your MIL there when it's baby time. You don't want that messing with your birthing energy. Maybe send dd to her house during the birth. Or what about hiring a doula to care for dd while your birthing?
